Think hackathons only happen in Silicon Valley? Neesons, together with their partners, bring legal problems and technology solvers together for one exciting, brainstorming weekend!
What is a Hackathon?
According to Wikipedia: “A hackathon, a hacker neologism, is an event when programmers meet to do collaborative computer programming.”
The Legal Tech Hackathon will bring together lawyers, developers, designers, data analysts and other professionals who will work collaboratively throughout the weekend to solve three distinct problems:
1) Develop a multiple voice-to-text solution that will improve the method in which transcripts are currently produced by automated speech recognition.
2) Develop a platform that incorporates AI to streamline the review of documents including court and arbitration decisions.
3) Develop a platform to monitor the progress on a file assigned to either lawyers within a legal department or law firm, or outside counsel.
The kickoff event starts Friday, June 2nd at Neesons offices. Drinks, networking and developer dating begins, which leads into pitch ideas and team formation.
On Saturday, June 3rd, teams get to work to produce an app as spec'd out the night before. Mentors will be on-hand throughout the day to assist in "coding up" your solution.
Judging takes place on Sunday, June 4th. Teams submit their apps...and then the winner is announced!
Who should attend?
Lawyers, paralegals, managing partners, in-house counsel, company executives, entrepreneurs, software designers, software coders and data analysts are all invited to participate.
Be a part of a process that's innovative, cutting-edge and builds something you want to see in the legal industry. The purpose of this event is to provide real world solutions and reduce costs for end users. Be a part of the solution!
